Getting in the Christmas Spirit

OK, I may have exaggerated a little bit, we did enjoy a few Christmas activities (especially the ones after the date of the Ward Christmas Party). We did feel Christmas JOY. I joined Nancy and April’s family at the Festival of Trees where Charlie met Santa for the first time! So cute! I was fully prepared for a screaming baby (as he was being fussy most of the time we were there), but when he was placed on Santa’s lap, he was all smiles!

We also had a great time enjoying the Christmas spirit at Downtown Salt Lake. Our good friends, Zach and Kaari, just moved to Utah from California and we wanted to show them a good “Christmas” time. We saw the lights at Temple Square, and then showed them the new City Creek Center and ate at Cheesecake Factory.

And I "decked the halls" (or at least the front room) of our house to welcome in the holiday season:
