At the beginning of the month, Colson turned three years old! I will write a little bit more about him and his milestones in the next post. We celebrated with both sides of the family at our house. We had a lasagna dinner and yummy Texas sheet cake (he had asked for a fruit snack cake...so we improvised as you will see in the pictures).

Jason went on a campout with the Young Men.
I continued my misery with morning sickness and lack of motivation.
Charlie was made Leader of the Week for his class in Kindergarten and he was thrilled. Each week he anxiously awaited to see who was going to be leader for that week, and his week finally came. We made a fun poster for him and we got to visit his class. For our visit, we brought his favorite book (I Am A Frog by Mo Willems) and read it to the class. We also brought a pillowcase full of items that represented Charlie and the things he likes. He also picked out tootsie rolls as the treat of choice to pass out to the class. It was a very fun day for him. He was spoiled to have Grandma A, Grandma Gruber, and Grandpa Gruber there as well.
In preparation for the MOST AMAZING TURKEY EVER for Thanksgiving, Jason invested in an electric fryer. He was convinced that the tastiest turkey would be a fried turkey. So we bought one and thoroughly enjoyed trying different foods with it.
And just like that, it was Thanksgiving break! This year we were with the Grubers and stayed Wednesday night through Sunday (this year no Tuttles or Spencers were with us). Our contributions to the feast were raspberry pretzel salad and a banana cream pie. Jason also, of course, fried a turkey and it was absolutely delicious and moist!

We had a blast during our Thanksgiving break with the Grubers, as we always do!
Now back to the rest of the month of November...
I had my first ultrasound appointment for the baby. Ultrasounds are always so amazing and exciting. It was nuts to see that even though the baby was so small, it still resembled so much the shape of a baby. The really crazy thing was though how much room it had. It was full on laying out in my belly. Legs straight. Poor thing had no idea things were about to get real cramped real quick in there!
With Thanksgiving behind us, and decent weather, we put the Christmas lights up. We ordered some of those bigger bulbs and the ones we got, we just didn’t like. We wanted alternating red and white bulbs, but the white was way too yellow and the quality just wasn’t good (some had lines and cracks on them). So we ordered from a different company (with less color options), but we are happy with what we ended up with. Crazy thing is, the first company had us just keep those old ones. It wasn’t worth it to them to have us return them.
We also set up the Christmas tree! I LOVE this moment of the season!
