We had another fantastic Gruber Reunion at Alpine Days! I unfortunately did not write down a single thing about that week (again, I blame it on the craziness of moving for my lack of note taking...and now we are over two years past this event). This will be primarily a picture post with some commentary here and there. I will be using the dates on the picture information to try and group them by date.
Mike and Kaitlyn Pacada blessed their little girl, Emelia Rose Pacada.
We were invited, as well as Alli, Duke, and Capri.
The girls put this together and included Colson, it was so cute!
I think Colson was 95% thrilled and 5% embarrassed
Alli brought back Portos. Hurray!
Foam Party:
Treasure Hunt
cutting Oliver's hair...trying to convince Duke...no dice
August Birthdays:
Early morning shows
Talent Show

Charlie was so excited to do the big 5K this year, his first time! The plan was to run with the others (Jason and I are not 5K participants) and then once the race passed by George and Nancy's house, we would cheer him on and let him end. Well, he ran right by their house with no intention of stopping! He kept going! Jason and I were shocked and so impressed. We didn't know he had it in him! We tried to talk him into staying, but he had big dreams. So Jason continued the rest of the way with him so he wasn't alone and knew where to go. It was so cute and we were so proud!
Oh my gosh! As I am writing this, I am remembering the morning before the race. It always starts very early. Jason and I somehow had forgotten to set an alarm, so we were snoozing away. We were startled by Charlie who was frantically trying to tell us, "We are going to miss it! We are going to miss the race!" We jumped out of bed realizing we were minutes away from the start of the race and we would indeed possibly miss the race. All other Gruber families were in charge of their own kids and most had already left for the race. Charlie was all ready to go, very excited, but very upset that we were going to make him late. By some miracle we made it just in time for him to join the race. It was heart breaking as parents thinking we had let him down, but obviously so glad it worked out in the end.
