Colson’s Fourteenth Month

(December 6 - January 5)

Colson really has a lot of skills at this point and seems to enjoy imitating what we do. He can put a finger to his mouth and say “shhhh.” He loves taking the ornaments off of the Christmas tree and pulling out the cord then plugging it back it. He can climb kitchen chairs and get onto the table. Colson will make a whining noise a lot and will point in the direction he wants you to take him. He can shake his head, “no”, and can still sign “more”. He is getting pretty fast and sturdy at walking. He is constantly saying “uh-oh” when something is dropped or when he is wanting attention. He loves to throw things.

Colson LOVES computers and remotes. He will go into the office whenever the door is left open, climb on the chair, and pound on the laptop.

He still makes a beeline for the bathroom if it is open, and he will stick his hand in the toilet and splash around in the water or throw things into the toilet.

He still wakes up between 6:00 and 6:30 am. I give him a bottle and then lay him back down for another hour or two. He gets two naps a day and goes to bed at 7:30 pm.

We have learned that Colson is extremely needy while teething. He had another bottom tooth (left) cut through. That has been a tough one.

Colson will bang his head against the ground when he gets mad or frustrated, which makes him more mad as it will sometimes hurt. He will often try to bite me or Charlie.

Here are some pictures from the month:
