Colson's Tenth Month

(August 6 - September 5)

So, Colson can climb up the stairs. Ah, life is changing. Back to the gates we go. We have to keep on our toes to keep up with that little man.

getting into everything he can reach

He loves to feed himself. We can get him to each pretty much anything if we let him feed it to himself. I tried putting some peanut butter on a spoon and feeding it to him, he seemed to love it but his cheeks quickly turned red so I decided to hold off on giving it to him again (and the doctor agreed). We will put pureed food on the table in front of him and he swipes at it and eats it. He will also pick up anything from the floor and eat it. Lucky for him, Charlie has lots of table scraps.

Here are his nine month measurements:
Height - 27 inches / 4%
Weight - 17 lb 11 oz / 14%
Head Circumference - 18.11 inches / 75%

So, he is still super short with a big head! We love him!

He can stand up in his crib while holding onto the bars.

Colson is sleeping in until 6:00 am in the morning. We decided it was time to let him cry in the night and not go to him any earlier than 6. This sleep training worked wonderfully and he is doing well. Mommy is happy with the additional sleep.

Colson is done nursing. This was done just in time for Girls Days and that was such a blessing. I had been supplementing with formula for awhile, now that he finally takes formula without a fuss, and so when the final transition came, it was pretty effortless. I was thrilled. He can even hold his own bottle.

He loves to swing in playground swings. This is another exciting thing for us as Charlie has only recently taken a liking to it.
