Election Day

November FINALLY came! I was so anxious for the election to be over with...so tired of the ads and the news programs...so much negative stuff! And of course I was anxious because I so badly wanted Romney to be elected! Well, the day finally came...Charlie and I dressed in our most patriotic attire and prepared treats for our party that evening. We drove to Alpine to have our little Election Party with the Grubers. We had dinner, cheese ball and crackers, peanut butter rice krispies, little smokies, among other things. We even brought some Martinellis with hopeful spirits. 

Well, as we all know...the Martinellis didn’t taste as good as it should have...the night did not end in our favor. Obama was elected for another term...we were so disappointed and dispirited. Even with the loss, however, it was still great to spend the big day with family...and especially great to be with Charlie for his first Election (and such an important one at that).
